Major Lines: Botticelli

Botticelli is synonymous with new, sharply contoured, floating forms, and rippling sinuous lines, drawn with expressive power and grace. His paintings are allegories of life and beauty, knowledge and love. They did inspire and guide Ferrari da Varese when they designed the pen they, afterwords named "Botticelli": a fresh shape, round and shining, as simple as beauty itself. The curved cap is a further homage to the Painter; "Botticelli" means "little barrel" I Italian, a nickname which was originally bestowed on his older brother, later inherited by him.
